Hi! It’s Effie and Wyatt :)
After years in higher ed, youth psychology, and the application-advising industry, we launched Inkwell in 2023 to offer a significantly better application experience for students and their families.
Here’s how we do things differently:
No hand-offs. The two of us work directly with each student, and we take on a limited number of students each year. We do this to ensure every family receives our full attention, care, and expertise—start to finish.
No generic advice. We specialize in having deep, candid conversations with students to uncover what makes them stand out. This allows us to develop strategies that highlight their individuality and make a clear, compelling case for their place on campus.
No "getting it over with." The application process can feel like a race to the finish, but we see it as a turning point. We use this opportunity to teach professional behaviors, emotional skills, and relationship management to prepare our students for adulthood.

Comprehensive Application Advising Package
The application process includes hundreds of important decisions, key considerations, and hard-to-see opportunities that can push a student to the top of the application pile.
That’s why we work one-on-one with students and their families through every aspect of the application process (including the ones you may not be thinking of!). We’ll ensure your application is unique, focused, cohesive, and compelling.

Weekly one-hour student meetings
Parent/guardian meetings across each phase of the application journey
Advising on up to 10 applications
